We'll have approximately 35 guests attending this Sunday’s gathering Not a housewarming but a little get-together. Since we started planning for our renovation, we didn't have enough time to rest, let alone meet up and we actually missed a few family gatherings over last 2 months. So now we are hosts and I've already prepared a whole list of stuff to buy. We are really looking forward to it .

Durian Feast !

Many thanks to our BIL and Uncle Phone for helping us to move our stuff over from parents' place. Everyone came over for dinner and no, we didn't cook anything ! We had durian... lots of them .. We all had fun tonight and coming weekend, we will have more guests coming over to our new house...so excited!

We are almost there

There are just too many boxes to clear and I obviously can't do it all by myself. Thanks M for coming over after work to help me and Ben lined them up nicely. Yeah, now the whole world know my wc named Kelly.haha...
It was pouring like crazy at 11plus at night and we were all exhausted but still, we needed to walk back to parents' place. See the matching colours? And that's my Mr. Ben

Door Lock

We changed all the door locks in the house including our main door lock! Ben had fun changing them and even offers free service to anyone who wanna change theirs. Haha..

Chemical Wash

After clearing all debris, boxes and sweeping the floor, the 2 cleaners wash the whole house from 7:30am to 2:30pm, using only 2 large towel! I am glad I don't have to clean them all by myself as James knows daddy was admitted and I do not have enough time to wash the house, he got them to clean up our window grill as well! Thanks James for getting them to come back on Friday morning to do second cleaning foc.

Dad is admitted..

Dad is admitted for haemostasis yesterday. Dr LSS was concern about his condition and got Dr. Kenneth Tan to do a bronchoscope today, so he was nil since 12mn. I am so stressed up as I am occupied with the renovation work and not able to be there all the time! James said they will complete most of the major work by Thursday so I can move in on our planned date. Lots of delivery/assembly for today and I need to be there to make payment as well. As a healthcare personel, it will be good if I can be there as I understand what is the flow and what to be expected for certain procedures. Really thank Nat for helping me I am glad dad was admitted to the respective ward as it will be so much easier to get the lung team to review his condition. Moreover, I was from that particular ward so I know most of the staff as they are really kind and helpful. Dr LSS said dad will be there for at most 2-3/7 and I really hope dad can be home by Thursday...

Updates on 240708 : We are glad that our dad can be discharged by today!

Those were the days..

As daddy was now in the ward, I am back here again after so many months. I've never blog about the food at this KOPITIAM in the past and this are the food I miss the most after leaving my working place. I still remember I would come all the way from clinic during my lunch break with CL and ordered the fish soup, we both love it so much that we would finish everything including the soup! Sigh..

My Mikado MINT

I went to many places today and bought our furniture again and my last stop was SPC Yishun, to collect my Mikado MINT. I was terribly tiring by the time I reached Khatib, yeah I insisted on taking train, go green !! I lost my way and walked into NTUC and got myself a street directory 2009. *kiss* Pledge your small step today at Saving Gaia and get a free envirosax !You know why did I choose green?

Big Day after our big day !

Fengshui

I've been trying to make appointment with Master Lee since don't know when..oh yah, before cny but he was soooooo busy until today, we finally meet up! We were supposed to meet last week but he "fly kite" la~ because one of his filthy rich customer flew him to Shanghai, HK and Guangzhou for fengshui consultation and after viewing our new place, he will fly to Dubai, Vietnam, Indonesia and Korea because this fellow's companies are all over the world! *stop ranting*

Both of our families know each other more than 10 years and I only know that him as a Geomancer but never thought of consulting him until 1.5 years back. Obviously he is very accurate in geomancy, or else I would have hired others to see our house. Sometimes, we don't just believe what they said blindly, we take it as a piece of advice and we still think that we are the one who are responsible for our own well being. But at least I've also learnt something from him. It is fun to listen to him, he is good at reasoning. Haha. If you're keen to know more about him, email me.

Besides, many many thanks to James and my painters for their patience. After the consultation, I had to change the paint colours for my walls, yeah, 5 of them. I'm terribly sorry!! Will get some cakes over tomorrow.

A crazy woman went to IKEA alone early in the morning and had wonderful breakie before her shopping started. She happily swiped (her credit card) more than $1k and left IKEA by a cab.

Long Long Ago..

Ben was so happy that his laptop was back yesterday. I have no idea what bring him to his hotmail account and he started to read all those old emails from me. We still keep those mushy mushy emails but he doesn't like me to read them OUT LOUD but he did it yesterday and he even found this :

Haha, I drew this using mouse and sent it to him! He laughed and even forwarded the email to me and said,
