The Wishing Cards are ready!!

Ben and I spent quite some time designing and I finally got them printed out 2 days ago.

I cutted them out nicely today and here we are, Our personalised wishing cards!

I've told Mark about this and a bowl, pens, wishing cards will be placed on a table together with some petals(of cause).

Suppose to last her at least 2-3 weeks but she was with it only for 2 days!!!

The Love Theme

I love the wedding favors and I love the setting and table arrangement for the "Love Theme". I find it very romantic. Hope the boys won't stand around the candles with their mashmallow.

Ben is back

Finally, this day has come. I went home early at around 3pm and rested till 730pm, I took 858 and and I reached the airport exactly at 830pm. The moment I saw him, I was so happy and glad he is home safely.

Ben kept telling me how nice the place is and how busy he was with the training. You will never believe that I am now feeling good that I didn't follow along as these few days apart has made us cherish each other more than before.

My heart feels so warm whenever he says," It is very nice and I wanna bring you here/there..."

Ben left to Phuket after lunch with us today. He cuddled with Twistie and kissed me too. So sad, I thought I could go with him but too bad, my colleague is posted to Bali on the same days I requested for my leave.

This is the first time Ben travelled on the plane without me. I have only Twistie & Smoochie to cuddle with these few days. *sob sob*

Poor my baby with the nice queen sized bed alone in a tastefully renovated 5 Stars spa hotel. I promise you will see me at airport on this coming Thursday?

Our 1st Year Anniversary

140407, what's so special about this date? Ben and I tied knot on this day last year, time flies man! We chosed this date last year as it was a GOOD FRIDAY and what made us choose this day? It is because we started off as a couple on Good Friday in year 2002. Then why didn't we hold our custom wedding dinner on Good Friday in year 2007? Because someone told us not to do so. Well, there are many reasons actually, if we were to choose this day, our wedding dinner should be on the 7 April. Thank god we didn't, as we are still struggling with the wedding preparation!

Well, as usual, I have my rose and dinner and I HAVE MY HAIRCUT & Highlights at Gorgeous by Carol,Far East Shopping Centre. SGD39 + SGD129 : Total Damage SGD168

And now, Ben said I am a pretty girl *wink wink* but still a naughty one as we had a little arguement while dining at NEW YORK NEW YORK. I left earlier, he foot the bill and we just walked different way.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE! We MET again on the bridge which joins the Esplanade & The One Fullerton. We sat down and chatted for an hour. Well, as usual, not giving in *blah blah blah*. I went home alone. In less than half an hour, I think we missed each other and then we are okay again.

Honey, I will give u a surprise this June! And I LOVE U a lot alot!!!

This is the most leceh thing and we just don't understand, how come when the deadline given for RSVP but still no respond from some friends, esp. ex colleagues. (girls, I am not referring to you hor, I understand how our rosters been scheduled at ward).

Now I am fully understood why Christina said RSVP is like begging people to be there to celebrate our day, aren't they suppose to feel honoured as they are invited? I remember I told these buddies of mine many months back to save the date and they were SO HAPPY and obviously, they replied promptly and confirmed their attendance. My buddies, you know who you are, really happy that you girls could be there. Another buddy who confirmed her attendance LAST YEAR, thanks for coming all the way from KL!

Some said," come on, why keep asking if my hubby is coming? We can't confirm now, if he is available during that period, he will be there but if he has tight schedule, it will only be one seat "wasted". "

To the one who said this, I hope you do read my blog.

"If only one seat you think I mind hah? Do you know how many people give me this type of answer? If these 10 people MIA on that night for whatever reasons, then we are paying $1028 for "takeaway" dishes?" Mark Chan from Oriental was telling us that once we confirmed the no. of tables, they will prepare the exact amount of food and we will have to TAKEAWAY if there is extra, which means, my mum won't have to cook for at least 3 days!

Conrad Hotel

Ben called Conrad Hotel yesterday and finally booked 2 classic rooms for our helpers. Silly me thinking that Conrad Hotel is just next to Oriental, hotels located next to it are actually Ritz Carlton and Marina Mandarin. I hope they won't kill us for getting the hotel so far away.

Girls, time to meet up and think for your bridemaids dress. Those who think you are not so slim, time to say goodbye for many sinful food.

Dad was admitted to SGH for neutropenic fever. His total white was 0.63(FYI, the normal white cell count for adults is 4.0-10.0 x 10(giga)/L)! Dr. Leong ordered IV Tazocin and s/c G-CSF and he was at Wd 48, Room 12 Bed 2. If you still remember, I was from Wd 48 before transfering to Cardiac Clinic. I met most of my ex SGH colleagues and they had been very helpful. I took 1.5 days leave to be in the hospital daily and I arrived at 7am just to make sure I won't miss the morning ward round. Due to the lack of rest for that few days, I fell sick, my temperature gone up to 38.6 deg. celcius on Sunday.

Thank god his total white has gone up to 5.28 on Saturday and discharged on Monday. Thanks to everyone who helped us a lot especially uncle Chee, Aunt June, Uncle Joe, Aunt Monique, Uncle Steven and family. Thanks for coming everyday to visit dad, cheer him up and support mum and thanks for the prayer. We really feel very graetful and we appreciated everything you guys had done for us.

Thanks to my fellow ex colleagues as well. There is always laughters, no matter how busy during the shift. Really hope you girls can attend my wedding. This day is getting closer, I am worry things are not well prepared but at the same time, I hope this day can come faster, can't wait to see everyone again!

Pretty Mya was in Singapore during Chinese New Year with her parents and granny. She met Cheryl and both of them were like long-lost sisters. Can't wait to see Mya again and guess what, Mya and Cheryl are going to be our flowergirls together with Dallas for our wedding. Any ideas where can I get beautiful dresses for them?

Chinese New Year Goodies

"BAK KWA" This is a must-have for this time of the year. Here is the "Bak Kwa" aka barbecue pork meat which I bought from KIM HOCK GUAN, I used to buy from Bee Cheng Hiang and after knowing that this is Singapore’s oldest bak kwa chain and ranking No. 1 in local Newspaper. I "kiasu" + I could get it at corporate rate + never tried before so I bought 1kg last week.

After tasting, I think I'll just stick to this brand! Chewy and look at it, no burnt corner and they are not using minced meat, can't resist the temptation even though I am so conscious about my weight!

Reunion Dinner

This will be my final year having my reunion dinner with my immediate family as I am officially Mrs. Goh! Ben agreed to go back on his own and we will be going to his place for the first 3 days of Chinese New Year from next year onwards.

As usual, we have

All types of oily Chinese sausages with leek. According to Aunt June, this is a Hakka style.

Chicken, a must-have-dish for all families!

Prawn(symbolise "laughter") come on, don't ask me why, just try to pronounce prawn in Cantonese.

Duck

Hainanese mixed veg, this dish contains many many ingredients. Everyone cooks this every year, I mean the "Lim's Family" and each has their own taste even though they are using exactly the same ingredient! *rolling eyes*


Fish


"Lo Hei" aka "Yu sheng", dad doesn't like raw fish so just substitute with the Abalone from New Moon, of cause we need to shredded.

Guess what, when we went to Uncle Steve's place for second round of Reunion Dinner, we have the same food(see I told you is standard dish)again except he cooked Shark Fin Soup and we had the Pig Organ Soup.

"Lo hei" is not new to Cheryl this time round and see our little girl...
